The Gandelman Agency was founded by Marvin Gandelman in 1948. Marvin served in WWII as a Bombardier in the U.S. Army Air Force. Upon returning home in 1946 at age 24, he had a huge responsibility to face. His father had passed away when Marvin was 17 leaving behind a wife and 5 children, Marvin and four younger sisters. Though an academic standout in high school and All-American football player, he was not able stay in college due to the economic necessities facing his family. One thing lead to another and Marvin was introduced to the Insurance business which he took to immediately. The experience of losing his father, created a strong desire in him to help others realize the importance of protecting their families in the event of a similar fate.
Marvin was indeed the leader of The Gandelman Agency. He was a gregarious, people loving person. Insurance became his passion. Most of all, he enjoyed counseling people. He became very active with local charitable organizations – giving freely of his time and money.
Over the years we have enjoyed a sterling reputation serving the local communities of Mercer County, New Jersey and Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Marvin passed away in 1998 and ownership of the Agency was transferred to his sons, Perry and Gary, both former practicing attorneys.
We have continued to grow and prosper with the same principles that have always been the foundation of this business; honesty, integrity and dedication to our clients. We have a very skilled and capable staff with numerous years of experience. We have partnered with some of the finest carriers and have the skills and expertise to compete on all levels.
Our clients typically remain with us for years and we represent many second, third and fourth generation families and businesses – a testament to our real focus on customer service.
